Austin Robert Butler was born in Anaheim, California, to Lori Anne (Howell), an aesthetician, and David Butler. He has always enjoyed movies of all types. When he was 13 he was walking around at the Orange County Fair and was approached by a representative from a background-acting management company, who helped him get started in the entertainment industry. He found that he really enjoyed it, and began taking a few acting classes. Soon, he landed a rather permanent (2005-2007) background-acting gig on Nickelodeon's Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide (2004), and a friend on the show, Lindsey Shaw, introduced him to her manager, who offered to represent him. From that point on, he considered himself to be a serious actor.
His first named (albeit uncredited) character was "Toby" in the Hannah Montana (2006) episode "Oops, I Meddled Again" in 2006 (girl broke up with him). First speaking role was in Zoey 101 (2005), as "Dannifer" or "Wrong Danny" (a few lines, and a girl poured soda down his shirt). He got a meatier role on Hannah Montana (2006) in 2007, still a small part, but very fun (a few more lines, and he got to fling popcorn on Miley Cyrus).
His big break (relatively speaking) was in 2007, as casting directors started to recognize him from his many, many auditions, and he was given an opportunity to play the part of "Jake Krandle" in the new Nickelodeon series iCarly (2007), which should start airing late in 2007. His first episode is called "iLike Jake."- Actor

A fairly well-known child actor who never made it to the ranks of a Jackie Cooper or Freddie Bartholomew, Jackie Searl nevertheless gained a film following in the 1930s. A bratty counterpart to Jane Withers, the blond, freckled, clean-cut Jackie was born in Anaheim, California in 1921 and started on L.A. radio in "The Children's Hour" at the age of three. By the end of the 1920s, film beckoned and Jackie hit it big playing mean little Sid Sawyer in the early Mark Twain film classic Tom Sawyer (1930). Paramount Pictures promptly signed the youngster up and he followed this with Finn and Hattie (1931), Huckleberry Finn (1931), Skippy (1931), Topaze (1933), and as Dormouse in Alice in Wonderland (1933). Infamous at playing sissified brats, obnoxious squealers, and sandbox bullies, he was a natural scene-stealer and aptly labeled on the Paramount sets as "The Kid Everybody Wants to Spank." He continued playing secondary parts into his teens with roles in Ginger (1935), Little Lord Fauntleroy (1936), That Certain Age (1938), and Small Town Deb (1941). He joined the service in WWII and tried to resurrect his career following his discharge, but had a tough time of it. In the 1960s he played character parts, nominally as minor heavies, in such films as The Couch (1962), and Shotgun Wedding (1963) and on TV dramas. He retired in the 1970s and died in 1991.- Hollywood's hottest young rising star, Daniella Perkins stars opposite David Schwimmer ("Friends") and Iddo Goldberg ("Peaky Blinders") in the upcoming short film "Traumatica." Daniella also voices Winnie in the Family Choice Award-winning animated mini-series "Middle School Moguls" alongside Jane Lynch. Lovely, innocent-looking, well-endowed comedienne Marie Wilson was a featherbrained delight instantly reminiscent of the zany Gracie Allen. Unlike Allen, however, Marie was a knockout--with high cheekbones, a wide slash of a mouth and a figure that wouldn't quit.
She was born Katherine Elizabeth Wilson on August 19, 1916, in Anaheim, California. Her family moved to Hollywood after her businessman father's death and Marie set her sights on an entertainment career while quite young. Educated at Miss Page School and the Hollywood Cumnock School for Girls, she found extra work in films upon graduation and made ends meet at one point by taking a job as a salesgirl in a department store. Her big break occurred after an "accidental" meeting with the director Nick Grinde. The relationship grew intimate, and he was instrumental in the formulation of her early Hollywood career. She appeared in his comedy short My Girl Sally (1935) with the inimitable Sterling Holloway and, to start with, had an extra part in Grinde's feature film Ladies Crave Excitement (1935).
After the 18-year-old was cast (unbilled) as Mary, Quite Contrary in the Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy musical fantasy March of the Wooden Soldiers (1934), Marie started sharpening up her "dumb blonde" skills. It was Grinde who helped secure her a contract at Warner Brothers in 1935. She would stay with the studio for four years. After making her Warners debut in Broadway Hostess (1935), Marie adroitly moved around and about the "B"-level chain (along with an intermittent "A" movie). As the quintessential dizzy, dim-witted foil, Marie scored in several Prohibition-style entertainment showcases, including the comedy potboilers Stars Over Broadway (1935), Miss Pacific Fleet (1935), Satan Met a Lady (1936), Melody for Two (1937), Public Wedding (1937) (directed by Grinde), The Great Garrick (1937), Fools for Scandal (1938), Boy Meets Girl (1938) (one of her best), Broadway Musketeers (1938) and Sweepstakes Winner (1939). Her last film for Warners was the forgettable The Cowboy Quarterback (1939).
Following the termination of her Warners contract in 1939, Marie had trouble securing film work. As compensation, she found great stage success as the sexy stooge for impresario Ken Murray in his extremely popular Los Angeles "Blackout" vaudeville-style stage shows of the early 1940s. Her mock striptease bit was a particular highlight and she stayed with the show for an incredible seven years. Intermixed were an array of film opportunities for various studios: Rookies on Parade (1941), She's in the Army (1942), The Fabulous Joe (1947), A Girl in Every Port (1952), Never Wave at a WAC (1953), Marry Me Again (1953) and her last, Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation (1962). She reached her "dumb blonde" zenith with the successful radio, film and TV versions of My Friend Irma (1949). Most of her subsequent kooky characterizations from then on were patterned on her Irma persona.
A smart, ambitious woman known to do crazy stunts for publicity, Marie took to the stage, nightclub and TV circuits once her film career bottomed out after the spectacular arrival of Marilyn Monroe. On the road in summer stock and dinner theater engagements, Marie appeared to find advantage in such well-suited vehicles as "Bus Stop," "Born Yesterday and "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." One of her last roles was in animated form as a voice in the cartoon Where's Huddles? (1970).
Married twice, she had an adopted son, Gregson (Greg) via her second marriage to actor/TV producer Robert Fallon. Her first, to actor Allan Nixon, ended in divorce. Marie had undergone surgery several times for cancer by the time she died at age 56, surrounded by her family, in 1972.- Actor

Arthur (Art) Moore-cartoonist, animator, novelist, and poet was born on August 13, 1914 (Anaheim, CA). He seemed to find success in whatever field he went into. Raised in Los Angeles, as a student at Hollywood High School his cartoons were already appearing in the city's leading newspaper, The Los Angeles Examiner. Impressed by the wry, but very funny take on life reflected in his cartoons, the Examiner hired him full-time as soon as he graduated.
In 1939 his cartooning led to employment at Walt Disney Studios, where he became an animator. After working on Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck shorts, Art became part of the team working on Disney's most famous feature film projects, including Fantasia (1940), Pinocchio (1940), Dumbo (1941), and Bambi (1942).
His work at Disney continued until December, 1941, when he, along with a number of other Disney animators, was inducted into the U.S. Army Signal Corps where, as Director of Animation, he spent the war years producing animated training films for World War II troops.
Returning to Los Angeles after the war, Lt. Moore and two of his Disney "buddies" opened their own animation studio in Hollywood. "Royal Titles" provided titles for the film industry and created animation for commercial films. As television developed, Art founded "Arthur Moore Studios," which created a number of children's cartoon series, including the 150 episodes of The Adventures of Spunky and Tadpole (1958), which appeared on national television from the late 50's to the mid-60's.
Art was also beginning his writing career at this time. He was the writer as well as creator of his children's cartoon series, he had a monthly column in Film Magazine, and had started writing short stories. After several of his short stories were published and a publisher showed interest in his first novel, Art put his animation career behind him, closed his animation studio, and made the switch to "author."
And he was a successful author. Art had 73 novels, 130 short stories, 15 children's books, and dozens of poems published over a span of thirty years, beginning in the early 60's. He was known for his thoroughly researched historical novels, although he also wrote in other genres, including spy thrillers, westerns, mysteries, and science fiction. His mystery and detective stories, many of them published in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, displayed his delightfully sardonic sense of humor, as did his lifetime of published cartoons.
In the late 1980's, Parkinson's disease began slowing down Arthur Moore's writing career, and it was this illness that eventually led to his death. He left a large number of unpublished works.- Stunts
